Is being gay a gift from God? What a strange question this is. My personal opinion could be right or wrong. My opinion doesn't matter. But God's opinion does! As for the idea that the Bible may be the musings of men, that is the opinion of men. Again, the opinion doesn't matter. It could be right or wrong. But God says,"without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is," (Heb. 11:6) Our way is to say "show me and I'll believe you". God's way says "believe me and then I will show you".
As a Christian I have to answer no, being gay is not a gift from God. He abhors it and tells us clearly what He thinks of so called "ministers" who spout such trot. Their interpretation of God's Word is monstrous. Biblically illiterate, arrogant, and puffed up with pride, they lie to God's children, robbing them of truth. Evil is twisted to look good and filth is portrayed as purity.
God loves His children but He abhors our sin. A "minister" that flaunts and condones sin is an abomination. Instead of truth, the sheep are being fed what they want-affirmations for their actions. They want to hear that it's okay with God to be gay. And it's not. One day we will each stand alone before the Living God and be judged by the words we have spoken and the deeds we have done.
The values of this great "nation under God" are mired in the muck. If this offends someone I can only say that I am offended too- by the muck. Our morals are turning us quickly into another Sodom and Gomorrah. Please read Genisis 13:13. This is the foundation for chapter 19:1-28. We are clearly shown what God thinks of homosexuality.
Two angels had been sent to Sodom to destroy it. They were in Lot's home and the men of the city were trying to break down the door. Why? Verse 5 tells us. "They called unto Lot and said unto him "where are the men which came in unto thee this night? Bring them out unto us that we may KNOW them!" Where do we think the word sodomy came from? Verse 11 says the angels smote them all with blindness and the next morning the city was destroyed. If we can't see the simple truth in these Scriptures, then we are blind also- spiritually blind.
"Ministers" who teach that being gay is a gift from God justify themselves by saying God's laws have changed. Then surely we can kill, steal, and commit adultery now? Jesus said, "I came not to change the law but to fulfill it". Blood ordinances were done away with on the Cross but the law holds firm. Laws are for our
