Buying a birthday present for your boyfriend can be extremely hard especially if he is one of those guys who says just get me a surprise', or I don't want anything'. Trust me I have been there, you wreck your brains trying to work out what to get and you have no idea. I mean he is your boyfriend and he always seems to get you the perfect present so you cannot let him down; you have to buy him something special. The good news is it is easier than you think and with just a little thought you will find the perfect present.
Firstly you are at an advantage as men tend not to be as fussy and hard to please as women, so whatever you get him he is likely to be pleased with it, unless you buy him a bunch of flowers or a cuddly teddy. These are gifts for girls, so please be realistic and find something more manly.
Secondly use your imagination, what hobbies and interests does he have. If he is into basketball, why not buy him a ticket for the next game, in fact you could buy a pair of tickets and accompany him to the game. Afterwards you could take him to a nice restaurant and treat him to his favorite cuisine. These two gestures are sure to make him smile as it shows you are willing to share his interests. If he is big on computers and consoles you could buy him the latest game or else give him a gift voucher towards a console or a new game depending on how much money you are wishing to spend. Perhaps a new aftershave or shirt may be what he is looking for. For music lovers a concert ticket to see the hottest new band or a CD of their idols may please them just as much. There really are many options when buying a birthday present for your beloved boyfriend. The hardest part is probably deciding how much to spend. Talking of spending it is best not to go overboard in this area. If you have only been going out for a few months spending $1000 may scare your boyfriend off and he may think you are trying to buy his love and affection.
When it comes to buying a present the best thing to do is be prepared and make sure if he is a new boyfriend, you know what types of things he likes, and set your spending limit. When you have decided on something purchase it and deliver it on time for his birthday. No big fancy ribbons, just the wrapped up present with a little kiss on the cheek and a simple happy birthday wish. Sometimes these simple gestures of affection mean more than the actual gift.
