Poetry: Finding love

by Justin Hyatt

Created on: March 05, 2009

Hey you

You sweet adorable

Little thing

I'd like to be your friend

But I would love to be more

I'll help mend your broken heart

Yeah dry up all those painful tears

I'll be here until you part

But even then I'll wait for years

You're blaming love

For pain it didn't cause

What he did makes me believe

It was never love at all

He picked you up

Just to watch you fall

And I have been here all along

Just pacing through this empty hall

Hey you

You sweet adorable

Little thing

Now that we have become friends

Do you think that we couldbe more

I'll hold you until the sun comes up

And help you through your painful dreams

I'll stay here until you push away

But even then it will be hard to leave

You're blaming love

For pain it didn't cause

What he did makes me believe

It was never love at all

He picked you up

Just to watch you fall

And I will be here until the end

Pacing through this empty hall

Dreaming of the day you call
