The ten worst types of employees a boss can have

comes from how employers treat their employees. An employee who stays dissatisfied for very long will soon become one or all of the above stated problems eventually. This creates a tidal wave of problems among other employees.

Unwilling to Learn

This is the person that will learn their own job but is unwilling to learn anything beyond that. Although this might be great for the employee, it is not so great for the employer and co-workers. If an employee is unwilling to learn new things, they eventually become obsolete in the workplace.

Sick Again

An employee who calls off sick once a week is detrimental to the smooth operation of the company. The employer and everyone they work with view them in a poor light. When an employee misses a lot of time from work, the workload increases for many others in the company. Most places of business will not tolerate this type of behavior.

A Bored Employee

A bored employee is an unhappy employee. If an employee is bored with their job it creates other problems. These could include the employee seeking ways to make their day more interesting. This could turn into gossip sessions, wasted time or calling off sick.

Clock Watcher

Every two seconds the employee looks at the clock and wonders why it hasn't changed. These people look at their clock so much that it begins to get in the way of production. An employer doesn't want someone in their workplace who constantly wants to know what time it is. It is counter-productive to the purpose of their work.

Not Well Groomed

This could be the employee who doesn't brush their hair or their teeth. Their clothes are always wrinkled and sometimes appear to not even be washed. You think they may have forgotten to shower or maybe they just forgot to use deodorant. It doesn't really matter. It hurts the company image and co-workers don't want to have to deal with it.

When an employee is behaving in a manner that disrupts the company's function, it will become a problem for not only the boss but the employee. In a time that we need to be more careful than ever, employees should take a good look at their behavior and change it if necessary in order to hold on to their jobs. Many jobs have been lost for far less infractions than the above stated issues.

A boss should take a look at what is causing the problems that are created by such employees. There may be an underlying reason for it that can be addressed and repaired. If not, it may be time to cut your losses and move on.
