Weather affects our feelings and moods but with most people it does not affect their general well being or productivity. We need to do our best in our jobs and fulfill our duties for the day irregardless of what mother nature has in store for us that day. In extreme weather disasters we have no choice but to submit to it and do all we can to survive.
Our earth has all kinds of weather from extreme cold in the north pole to the heat in the desert. No matter where we find ourselves we have to deal with the weather when we go outside and inside. Not all people can turn on the heat or air-conditioner to control their indoor temperature.
Sunshine turns everybody on and makes people more positive. Yet, too much of it can give us a heat stroke or we can have illusions if there is no escape from the sun like the desert. Being exposed too long in the sun can burn our skin and perhaps cause skin cancer later in life. The sun can blind us and it can cause an accident when driving. On the other hand, it can warm us on a cool day as we sit or walk in the sunshine. Solar energy gives our body energy and is a form of heating energy.
Rain can refresh us on a hot day and it is fun to run in the rain. When we're inside and watch the rain it can be very soothing. It causes us to be reflective or even melancholy. Sometimes we even feel sad. Storms are exhilirating and even scary when they bring upon thunder and lightening especially in an island. Being cozy inside watching and listening to a stom is exciting and fearful. Many enjoy listening to the rain while laying in bed. Going out changes our moods. Raincoats, boots, umbrellas, and windshield wipers sure help us deal with that rain as we go about our day. Sometimes the best thing to to stop and wait for it to calm down before you keep on going. Water is soothing but when it comes to storms, floods, tornadoes, huricanes, or psunaumis it is a matter of survival.
Snowflakes are beautiful and so is watching it snowing. It gives us a feeling of peace. We tend to cuddle up and feel warm. Driving in the snow and ice is treacherous with the fear of sliding in poor visibility. Getting stuck somewhere is a pain and for very long it can be devastating. One becomes afraid and on edge while driving. Thoughts of waiting for a pick-up truck keep hunting us as we drive in the brutal weather. We can have fun in the snow in so many ways but as the snow becomes higher and higher fear overtakes its beauty. We fear running out of food or being cold
