The Magician
I am the magician
And when I give my wand a tap
Roaring lions will become tame
And elephants will dance.
I can make my companion, or "audience member" vanish
I can juggle- dozens of emotions!
I can walk across that risky rope
And magically vanish devotions.
Clowns will hide behind painted smiles
As prideful people sail through the air
Magic mirrors will hide the truth
And thousands of eyes will just stare.
I am the magician
And when I give my wand a tap
Jokers will flee the deck as doves
And rabbits will escape my hat.
I can uplift someone's spirit
And make any grey sky blue
Stand evil temptations for hours
I can be a dream come true!
I am the magician
But when I give my wand a tap
I can't even make my "audience member" love me
Or remember, care, or clap.
