Just One More Time
If I could meet you one more time
I would not shake your hand, I would leave
I would leave you alone, feeling weak and dumb
The same way that you did to me.
If I could hear you one more time
I would hope you were talking to your boss
And all your future plans, were being rejected
Just like you did with ours.
If I could talk to you one more time
I would tell you I love you so much
I would say many lies, and laugh when you cry
The same way that you lied of us.
If I could dream of you one more time
I would dream you were bones in a garbage
Left out and rotten, I would throw you away
Just like you did with your promise
If you could see me one more time
You would see the anger in my eyes
I would not have to speak, you would know your mistakes
Your replacement would be at my side.
If I could write one poem to you
That you'll never in a million years read
I would write that I miss you, and still think of you
Then I'd burn it, and set myself free.

This House
These walls long to hear a baby's cry, and a child's laugh.
These floors long to feel bare little feet, running
In a morning's early hour, I am held needlessly awake
