Memoirs: What my dog means to me

My little dog Mario means everything to me. To quote Stevie Wonder, "You are the sunshine of my life." He is my buddy, my little pal, companion, and friend. My little everything. Every time I come home from work or anywhere else he is always excited to see me.

He is always at the door as I walk in the house to greet me with love. Mario gets up on his hind legs and starts jumping up and down ticked to death to see me. Mario then wants me to pick him and hold him. He is about the best thing that has ever happened to me.

We are always there for one anther to give each other the love and attention that we both desperately need. Mario means the world to me. I have become very attached to the little fellow. I always want him to be here for me, for I plan to always be here for Mario.

Mario and I always spend a great deal of time together. I take him for walks, I play ball with him, I feed him, and give him fresh water to drink. I don't know what I would do if I did not have my little pal in my life.

I have depression and he has certainly made my life a lot happier than I was before he came to live with us.

Mario has made a strong impression on me. Many years before he came to live with me I did not use to like dogs. But after he had been here a couple of weeks, I came to have a change of heart. I suddenly became very attached to the little fellow.

I took a long and hard look at this beautiful little dog. All I saw was love and affection in his warm brown eyes. This little dog needed love and attention. He as certainly gotten it from me in the nearly three years that he has been living with us.

I think that it was Mario's personality that made me come to love him so much. He is a little comedian for sure. Mario never fails to make give me a laugh everyday.

When we play ball together he likes to run down the hall and sit down with his ball in front of him daring me to come and get it from him.

Sometimes Mario sticks his little dogie butt up in the air when he playing with his ball. He likes to get me to chase him around the house. Mario as been so much fun for me.

No matter where I am or what I am doing when we are not together I think of him and how much I really love him and miss him.

He is such an affectionate little dog. Mario will come and jump up on my lap. Has I am holding him in my arms he will look at me with those beautiful warm eyes of his. I know that it is Mario's way of telling me how much he loves me.

I don't know what my life would be like with out my Mario. I only know that I have to enjoy the years that we have left together. Mario is without a doubt the most special dog that I have ever met.
I can only thank God for giving me this sweet, cute, and wonderful little dog to love and cherish for all of eternity.
