Some might think of the usual ways men initiate lovemaking such as a playful wink, pat on the behind or the old standby, "Hey baby". But men also send out subtler signals too. One might not think that doing things such as taking out the trash or changing the oil in their wife's car constitutes asking for love but men, when they are in a happy loving relationship, will climb the highest mountain to please their women. How many men will run out in the middle of the night to get their pregnant wife some food she may be craving?
Ever wonder why men ask for recognition when they've done the dishes or just something they don't usually do around the house? Because when you give them the praise they seek they know they have made you happy and with happiness comes the chance for some loving. I used to wonder why my husband had to be acknowledged when he did something extra and I finally figured it out when my praise resulted in him becoming almost giddy and then usually resulted in a night of romance. Now I always remember to thank him and recognize what he did and I find he also does more for me. I did not give this subject much thought when I was first married. I don't think too many brides do. I am glad I finally did though because the discoveries I have made have only enhanced my married life.
Men also feel loved after making their woman feel good. That is one way they know that we love them. They don't need flowers and jewelry. Just a little lovin' and they are good to go! Truth be told I am pretty sure that men are almost always in the mood for love. So in my opinion men are probably telling you they are in the mood with almost everything they do.
My own experience has changed and evolved over the years. When my husband and I were young with small children we had to sometimes schedule our time. When the kids were older there would be the nudge and the look towards the bedroom. Now that our children are grown we have abandoned secret codes and looks and usually just come right out and suggest what we want. Of course since the beginning I could always tell pretty much from the time that he arrived home what might be on his mind.
Overall, I think most women know when their husbands are in the mood for loving I still understand the looks and winks and I still know that when he fixes my vaccuum cleaner or even the rare occasion of letting the dog out in the middle of the night that he is oh so subtly telling me he is in the mood. And I am glad he is in the mood so much of the time.
