Poetry: Speed of life

by Cheryl Brand

Created on: March 04, 2009

Road Less Travelled

Easy does it now,

Slow it down some,

Get off the fast track and don't unravel

And take the road less traveled.

There is a time for all seasons:

A time that is just your own

Given at such a time as this

For you to succeed and belong.

Faster isn't smarter;

Speeding along isn't getting it done

Being 'best starter'

Is not better in the long run.

Pace yourself -

feel the momentum

Watch the butterflies on the rose

And magpies in the close.

You will see that there is time for you

It's been there all along

Just hop on the "train to sanity"

and leave the maddening throng !
