This is a list I came up with to remind me every day that I am worth something. That I am human and that I am not perfect. Also, that others are not perfect. This is one thing that I had to learn the hard way. I always felt that everyone had to think and live by my standards. Oh, how wrong I was. We all are human, we each have different tastes, likes, and dislikes. Just because I like to do something one way does not mean every one has to like doing it my way. Just because I have an idea does not mean someone else idea is bad. This is why we are all different. This world would be boring if we all thought and acted the same. so this list came from deep with in me. It came about when someone once told me that I needed to check myself, before criticizing others. Looking deep inside oneself opens up ugly things that you do not want to see, but how strange that we can so easily see the bad in other people.
1. You only have to answer to God for what you say and do, not for what others say and do.
2. Treat others the way you would like to be treated, not the way others have treated you.
3.If you talk about people behind their backs, be sure that you, are also being talked about behind your back.
4.Do not judge others, for you will also be judged. Not one of us are perfect on this earth.
5. If you want forgiveness from someone, than forgive others.
6.Lying only leads to more lies, hurt feelings, and mistrust.
7. Think and speak positive about things about people and situations, for speaking positive things, brings positive things, and speaking about negative things brings about negative things.
8. Always find one good thing in the people you know and meet. Everyone has at least one quality in them. Even your worst enemies.
9. Smiling is contagious, so smile. You would be amazed how it affects others.
10. Love yourself so that you can love others.
After you read this, ask yourself if one or more of these things bother you. If they do then you need to check deep inside yourself and find out why or what. Make a copy of this list and hang it where you can look at it. If you do this often you will find that life will be much more pleasant and fun. That even your worst enemy has at least one good thing about them. That what you might dislike about a person that the same person might dislike something about you. Most important it brings positive things into your life and people love positive things.
