Why you can't get what you want

It is quite easy to see that the Law of Attraction (LoA) works for some people. At least, on the side of things shown to us. Information delivered by a sensation hungry media, trying to promote any idea long enough, in order to sell more ads, and by doing that making sure the LoA delivers. Still, by using some good judgement and reading between the lines, one sees that some people are better connected' than others. Many methods, books, and articles has been written on how to make the LoA work for anybody who wishes. To be aware that reality is a manifestation of his, or her thoughts. The obvious thing to do then, would be to modify and change the thought patterns- each to his own particular wish.

Easier said than done, but why is that? Why is it so hard for most candidates to change their patterns of thinking, or the neural pathways in the brain. This is a broad area and there are endless reasons why people act the way they do. It is widely accepted that fear is a major obstacle in breaking away from the everyday life that we long to improve. Awareness of this fear factor is usually insufficient when trying to deviate from its known patterns.

G.I. Gurdjieff wrote:

"Man will renounce any pleasures you like but he will not give up his suffering".

The emotional addiction is even stronger than the substance addiction, which is not only physical but a mental addiction as well. The body and the mind still remember what it was like to live without those cravings and substance abuse, which is no longer the case in regard to those addictive, negative emotions.

The many methods of self improvement that remind us to be aware of the positive aspect of life, help, but mostly in the beginning when the mind is still enthusiast about things. As this is a gradual process that takes time, there are also negative things building up as we go along. The good message is that LoA is not being blocked just because most of us are blocked. The universe (or its many other names) is bombarding us with opportunities on a daily basis. How many times did you hear people saying: "I should have done it years ago" and "If I only listened". Listen to what? Meaning probably- listening to your own better judgement, and also to neglected moments of intuition.

No matter what the perceived reality at a given moment is, one can always be open to the fact that everybody has access to intuition, and more so while meditating. You might be more perceptive, creative and receptive to your own intuition, while observing messages thrown at you from nowhere in particular when doing meditation: While meditating, our brainwaves slow down. These brain frequencies were first recorded in humans by Professor Emeritus, Hans Berger, University of Jena Germany in 1924. Berger discovered the Alpha and Beta waves. The alpha wave, also called Berger's wave, has a slower frequency (7-13 Hz) than the Beta wave (14 -22 Hz). When we open our eyes, much of the brain's attention is directed into interpreting incoming visual messages, and by doing so, creating a sort of blockade, the alpha blockade. While in the beta wave state, which is our normal waking state, much of the anxious thinking appears, stress is a familiar factor, and most reactions, plans, and decisions are taking place.

It is the alpha state which is sought after while meditating. In this state, the brain shows us that reality is in the eyes of the beholder. Any given situation can be interpreted by the brain-mind on different levels and with multiple conclusions. As our brain slows down, we find more harmony in a stressed-filled hostile world. Creativity and intuition appear, and our infinite capacity to give and receive love becomes apparent.

The creator of the Silva Method, Dr. Jose Silva discovered in a life long research that began in 1944 that it is possible for the individual to switch at will from the beta state into the alpha, by following a series of steps. He demonstrated with the Silva Method that with the right coaching, the field of meditation was open for all. And that with the right seeds planted in the mind-garden, very good crops could grow..

There are some speculations about the Gamma brain waves, which are fast frequency patterns of brain waves (26-70 Hz). They might happen when one perceives high level information. This is often taking place during awakening time, or early in the morning, which is also the best time to meditate.

The Cambridge Dictionaries online defines intuition as: "(knowledge obtained from) an ability to understand, or know something immediately without needing to think about it, learn it, or discover it by using reason".

The trained observer of thoughts, will write any idea that comes to mind, at any moment, day or night, as it is fast gone, and might not be possible to retrieve later. Imagine how many of those bright ideas we regard as insignificant in a life time..

Keep searching between all these(written)ideas, and you might find one that is applicable and ready to be used by you in the near future.

Another good practice is to make a list of your goals and write them in big letters as a sort of a physical manifestation. You probably read that somewhere else already, but here is a great supplementary idea: Compare your notes to your list of goals and keep discarded, unfulfilled goals together with the other notes. It could take some time for the multiverse to come up with the appropriate information, so be patient

The person attuned to the LoA Mode, should check his notes every now and then, and give attention to what is relevant at a given moment. The rest should be kept in a safe and dry place, as it might be relevant only in a few years time. Understanding that the universe and our world are constantly evolving, so what seemed to be a crazy notion, becomes extremely valuable with time. How this knowledge is being intercepted and in which way it penetrates the brain-mind is not entirely clear. However, one does not need to know much about water in order to drink it, or even swim in it.
