Evaluating the hot new R&B songs

There is nothing that I love more than to hop in my car, turn the radio on and just drive. I don't have to have a destination. As long as I have some good music to listen to I am fine. I go where the music takes me. I have been an avid listener of music since I was in diapers. The day they stop making music would probably be the day that I run my car off of a bridge. No matter what mood you are in there will always be a song that talks about exactly what you are going through. And if you listen hard enough, it can probably get you through your situation.

The other day I was feeling a little down so I jumped in my car and headed out. I just needed to get away for a while. I turned on my radio and the first song I heard was Keri Hilson's "You're turnin' me on". This song, as the title suggests, is about what turns a woman on and off about a man. At first the catchy beat caught my attention. Then I heard "You fly as hell, swagga right, brown skin poppin you know just how to talk to me, know just how I like it, you turnin' me on." When I heard that I was like ok I get where she's coming from that would turn me on too. Then I heard, "Now wait a minute little buster you got one more time to feel on my booty, better recognize a lady that ain't the way you do me, you turnin me off." Again I could empathize with that. That would definitely turn me off and I would be ready to slap his face. Listening to that song made me want to head to the nearest club and dance.

Another song I heard was Beyonce's "Diva". As the title suggests, it's about Beyonce boasting about being a diva. OK, so you're a diva. It will probably be a woman's summer anthem, but to me it's not her best work. Jamie Foxx and T-Pain also have a hot song titled "Blame it". Basically it's Jamie and Pain trying to get women drunk so that they can have their way with them. Typical man stuff. The hook suggests that she can "Blame it on the goose, got you feeling loose, blame it on petron, got you in the zone blame it on the A-A-A Alcohol." So in other words she can blame it on whatever as long as she's going home with them. Wow.

Some of my other favorites are The Dream "Rockin' that thang" which is self-explanatory, Neyo "She got her own" also self-explanatory. Kanye West has one that is surprisingly likable. I say surprising because he's singing on the track and we all know he's no singer. The title is "Heartless". I am thinking that this is a bout an ex that has dumped him and he feels she is heartless. I couldn't
