ELIZABETH
The dearest child I have ever known
Was Elizibeth Boyette*, my neighbor.
A little person, in years, only twelve,
And in size she was smaller than most.
But in wisdom, more mature Than I!
One day she came to "Tea" , as we called it,
She asked to join my "club".
"My club?" I asked, "What club is that?"
She closed her eyes with hands outstretched.
"You mean my Meditation group?"
"Yes, Mrs. Brown, THAT club!"
"Now, I would be quite delighted, child,
To have you join our ladies,
But how do you know you would like what we do?"
"Mrs. Brown, I've watched them come and go,
And something lovely happens to them in between!"
"And you would like to have that lovely thing
To happen with you, Elizabeth?"
"Mrs. Brown, I know I am just a child,
And I've got so much to learn,
But some day I hope to be the very best adult I can be."
"Then, Elizabeth, we will welcome you with open arms,
Into our ladies group.
And I really believe the group will be blessed
By your sweet and gentle presence.
We will look for you next Saturday!"
"Mrs. Brown, I thank you so very much, and
'The person I am going to be some day '
Thanks you for giving me the gift of
'Who you are today!'
And some day I hope to make you proud of me!"
"You already have, Elizabeth! You already have!"

In a cosmic garden, I hover
among lovely scented human flowers
glowing with divine essence,
they revel in self-awareness.
Vort ices
by C F Tinney
A little girl's silly laughter
a sound of swinging made
ice clinking in a glass
of homemade lemonade
My boy pretending he
My Grass and I
I heard a blade of grass
Whispering in the morning winds
As he and I lay amongst his friends.
And as we lay,
I stare into a lake of glass
an ocean of stars I wish would last
Dreams of drifting to new worlds
I enter the water as it begins
