Testimonies: Why I am an athiest

An atheist is a person that does not believe in a god or gods or any sort of religion for that matter. I guess I fit in with this definition because I do not believe in any kind of omnipotent entity whatsoever or any religion for that matter. So when people ask me why did I become an atheist I simply respond because god is a lie and I don't like to be lied to. I began as a Christian when my mother baptized me without any say from me of course! What could I do I was a baby! (That "holy water" was probably tap water) So my atheistic journey at six when my mother bribed me with an NES or a Nintendo Entertainment System to go to Sunday school. Looking back at this this seems pretty twisted to bribe a six year old to go to a place he did not want to go, born to be a skeptic right? So anyway I guess you could have called me a somewhat devout Christian at this point what with going to bible studies, early mass, and Sunday school. But these things created something that every religious leader fears: questions! The questions started to flow around the age of nine like what is holy water made of? Why do I have to give money to God if he is all powerful? If we are born with original sin doesn't that make getting into Heaven impossible? Why did he create Hell if he loves us so much? More questions followed and for all of them I did not get a definite answer just read the "good book" or pray and God will help you. So I did just that and through my readings of the Bible I did not find my answers just more disgust in Christianity. I found that the Bible endorses slavery, stoning of children and other disgraceful things. I also started to see this God character as a sort of bully asking for your money and burning you forever if you don't pay. This is a loving God? So began my religious journey of sorts and my interest in science. First I started with the propagator of Western religion Judaism but after reading their holy texts I ran across the same problems with Christianity: questions that they could not answer. Onward my journey continued to Islam and again I had the same problems. Why could no one give me answers? I asked myself. Buddhism was next up and guess what? Their belief system made sense somewhat. There was a respect for knowledge, learning, and a very simple belief seek enlightenment. So why didn't I become a Buddhist you say? I liked my material possessions to much, I love Capitalism so sue me! To be honest I never really jived with the beliefs of Hinduism so I just ignored it and moved on. Finally I came to Satanism and you know what I found out? Satanism and Christianity have similar beliefs just instead of God you have Satan. (I dare you Christians to read the book of Satan and believe in God after that!) After all this searching I came to three conclusions:

There is a God but Man got it wrong. (Agnosticism)
There is no God he is a lie out of fear. (Atheistic)
I don't care anymore. (Emo)

And since only science resolved my answers you can guess which one I picked.
