I wake up to a brand new day
With nothing much to say
All I can think of is Easter goodies
Candy and a rabbit in little booties
A little old bunny with a big cotton tail
Hopping down my houses trail
To bring me lots of chocolate
Eggs Colored and dyed, makes me feel all warm inside
Then my mother says to me
"Get ready for church dear"
"This is the day we show our respects"
"And I want to make this perfectly clear"
"Jesus died and he rose again, to pay for all of our sins"
"So on this day this is the true thing to do"
"But don't worry Honey I'm sure the easter bunny will visit you too."

Poetry: Easter
When Christ climbed up on Golgotha
the rivers ran darkly with the blood of the butchered
and churned down their old paths
into
Pascha
Angelic voices
of servants so fine.
They gather to worship,
The Risen Divine.
A day of victory,
and redemption for
A wonderful saviour,
Who suffered, bled and died.
A man so great,
To give his life for yours
As well as for mine.
Hallelujah! The Easter Song
Shaking earth, rumbling, grumbling, quaking,
Proclaiming an event, hitherto unannounced to
Easter lilies perfume the air.
Pastel women with blue hair stroll slowly up the
aisle so all can see their new attire.
