Steroid should not be allowed in professional sports, other than use for medical purposes. If steroids are not for medical purposes, my answer to their use is an absolute "No"!Steroids should never be used to enhance an athlete's performance. We are supposed to be the best we can be, and not the best steroids can make us. It is cheating to use steroids, and it gives yourself an unfair advantage over the other players. There is no pride in a "win", when you cheat to get there. Steroids are very harmful to your body, can have negative effect on reproduction, and can do severe damage to your heart. There was a football player who appeared on TV quite awhile back. He was a star athlete, and he was no longer able to walk across a room, because he had destroyed his heart with his use of steroids. He was there to beg the youth of America not to use steroids, because he wanted other people to avoid what had happened to him. He was there to tell everyone that steroids have consequences. He was hoping that if people saw him in his condition, that they would learn by his mistake!. He died a couple of weeks later.
If you have to cheat, and use steroids to win; then you aren't the best. Any success that you achieve through the use of steroids is stolen. You should be using your natural gifts and the talents that you were born with. Your best is all anyone can ask from you ,and it is all that you can ask of yourself. We were all born with different talents, and sometimes it takes awhile to find which one is best for us.
When professional athletes use steroids it sets a bad example for our youth, and all the people watching them with admiration. People need to learn that we all have limits. We were born with what we have, and we should use what we have to the fullest. If you want to exercise, and bring your body to its peak; I am with you. Remember that failure is not always a bad thing. It gives us all the information that we need to do better the next time. You cannot always win, and that is what makes winning so special.
Steroids are for the weak of body and mind. You cannot deal with who you are; so you have to make yourself into something that you are not. Steroids can cause many different reactions in the body, besides the physical. Just take a look at the mental problems that are the side effects of steroid use. The violent behavior that is manifested by steroid use has been seen in so many of our professional athletes. Money is no excuse to ruin your body and your brain. If you are small and want to be big, exercise and be the best you can be, steroids are not the answer. Are you willing to give up control over your body and emotions to be great? Steroids come with a very high price, because you can lose yourself and who you really are. What you do not understand is that you do not need steroids, or money to be great! You just need to be yourself, be happy with who you are, and be thankful for gifts that you have been given. We were not all meant to be great athletes. We were all meant to be great people!
