Purchased in 1726 by Quaker William Fell and later established as a town in 1763, Fell's Point is a charming historical district in Baltimore, Maryland. It is scenic, as it is located on the water near Inner Harbor, and its roots are heavily laden with maritime activities and shipbuilding.
In its current form, it serves as a vibrant community filled with all kinds of modern shops, bars and restaurants. In fact, this district is well-known for having more than 120 pubs. As a result, this area boasts an active night life!
Fell's Point is also a neighborhood, and it has become an increasingly popular area for professionals to call home. With the convenience of so many coffee shops and stores, it's no wonder that it has become a popular place to live.
While Fell's Point is an attraction to both locals and tourists, it is earmarked by its past. Some of its streets are cobblestoned, and there are many historic places to visit. Those who want to learn more about the history of the area can visit the Baltimore Maritime Museum.
Or, for those who like to hear ghost stories, they should consider getting a group together for Baltimore Ghost Tours. There is just something about this place, and you will likely find yourself wanting to visit again.
