COME TOMORROW
and i'm sittin' here
remembering
thinkin' 'bout you
and the tears are comin'
but slow
and they're cold
and it aches
and i'm afraid
and i want to tell you
you
'cause i've already given
so much
already bought your time
already
i won't owe you
if i need you
if i use you
if i make you
share my pain
but i know
i know
and it aches
and it's cold
that you don't want it
that you won't
won't hear
won't answer
won't pay
in kind
your guilt less
than seeing my pain
feeling my fear
that mirrors your own
and i'm here
afraid
aching
alone
but
come tomorrow
tomorrow
i will smile
and you will never know

Poetry: Hiding
by Scott Scherr
Fake a moment, take a bow,
Expectations met somehow.
Keep your edge, don't drop a guard,
Life exposed is much too hard.

Hiding
Like moles
In dark narrow holes
Heaps of soil
Distorting
Green lawn
The answer
Pest control
They desire
Terror fame
HIDE AND SEEK
I must admire your technique!
You hide or seek or take a peek,
And yet I hear the words you speak.
Ideals like
COME TOMORROW
and i'm sittin' here
remembering
thin kin' 'bout you
and the tears are comin'
but slow
and they're cold
and it aches
and
PIPING
Piping's cold, piping's hot;
Not a janitor
