Yes the federal government should bail out homeowners facing foreclosure. If the economy had not gotten as bad as it is now; the

majority of the homeowners would not be in the situation they are in today.

The problem with the homeowners facing foreclosure did not just start yesterday. The homeowners started facing these problems more

that a year ago. The homeowner problem was recognized before the banks started having problems.

The banks have already been given financial help with bailouts. The poor homeowners were told that they would get help. A lot of

families have lost their homes already; because the government let them down. These families lost their homes because most of them

had one or all of their money making members lose their jobs.

In October of 2008; I was walking in the country and noticed four teenage boys playing football. I walked over to them and ask them

why they were not playing football on the local high school football team who was playing at the same time at the town football stadium.

One of the boys told me that his parents could not afford to let him play football because they could not afford gas for their car to take him

to football practice. Families are put in situations like this because the economy is so bad. The government should have helped the

homeowners who are facing foreclosure at the same time that the banks were given the financial assistance.

One of the reasons that the banks are having financial problems is because working people just like you and me have either lost their

jobs or their work hours have been cut; and this has caused many homeowners to get behind on the payments to the banks and other

lenders.

The homeowners need to be bailed out now; while there is still hope of recovery. Once the homeowners have received financial

assistance; they can get back on track and slowly recover as the economy gets better. There is no doubt in my mind that the economy

will recover; but it will only recover once the homeowners are given financial help just like the banks and the car industry have been giver help.

The government needs to act now and not just promise to help like it has done the past couple of years. Once the federal government

has bailed out the homeowners; the economy will start to recover because the banks and auto industry has already been bailed out and

started to recover. So let's give these homeowners the help they need and get America back on it's feet.

The United States was at one time; the leading economic country in the world; so let's support the bailout for homeowners facing

forclosure and get America back on track as the leading economic country in the world.
