Sugar Knowledge

The average person is completely unaware of the amount of sugar intake that is consumed on a yearly or daily basis.

Sugar is in almost everything that we eat and drink with the exception of water unless it is store bought specialty water.

Over the last 20 years sugar intake has increased dramatically...on average, we consume 135 lbs of sugar per year per person in America.

Your body can not break down that amount of sugar intake, don't get it twisted we need some sugar intake but not to this degree! Being aware of the amount of sugar you are consuming will save you lots of misery later on in your life.

THe body has natural insulin that breaks down sugar and uses it within the body everyday for energy and so on. So, when this process becomes overburden with sugar, additional help will be needed to properly break down the sugar. When this can't happen the body becomes a diabetic.

High sugar intake increases the risk of developing Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis.

Most all candies run about 75 to 85 percent sugar; most energy drinks have anywhere from 20 to 40 teaspoons of sugar in them.

Even the fruits eaten are very high in (sucrose) sugar. Below is a list of fruits high in sugar and some that are surprisingly low in sugar.

Fruits High In Sugar:

Plums, Kiwifruit, Pears,

Oranges, Tangerines, Cherries, Grapes, Pomegranates, Mangos, Figs, and Bananas just to name a few.

Dried fruits such as Raisins, dried Apricots, and Prunes.

Low Carb Veggies Include:

Avocados, Cucumbers, Asparagus, Green beans, and wax beans.

Broccoli, Cauliflower, Green peppers, Red peppers, Jalapeo peppers and big list of others that are good for your diet.

Let's face it.. knowledge about how to take care of ourselves eludes us and that is why America is so Obese. Exercise is paramount in the lives of healthy people... being happy with yourself takes work and that happiness has to begin with loving yourself; enough to make a conscience effort to stay fit.

The average teenage boy consumes at least 109 lbs of sugar per year. That is a lot of sugar for them, even though most teenagers are super active; it is still a habit they must be aware of.

Because as the saying goes "Old Habits Die Hard"...but if you want to live a life that is healthy and full of joy...then one method is to consider watching what you eat. And try hard to maintain a good exercise regimen. Sometimes you could lose a normal workout routine...It is advantageous to stimulate yourself, by checking your weight on a daily basis....so that you can see how much weight you are gaining by just laying around everyday.

Remember it takes a while to actually see weight gain...If you can't get in those same jeans that you have been wearing for months...something is wrong!

As I have said before, so say I know again, Cultivation is key and knowledge is Power!
