Do sugar gliders really make good pets? Some like sugar gliders, while some others don't. To some, sugar gliders, as a popular exotic pet, make endearing and entertaining pets. To some others, they think that it takes too much time to take care of the sugar gliders. Sugar gliders are both entertaining and annoying. Before you want to keep them as pets, you'd better know them well. When you find that you really like them, why not keep them for fun?
REASONS TO KEEP SUGAR GLIDERS AS PETS
1. Easy to Care
Sugar gliders are not difficult for you to care. They feed on sweet plants and insects. Since they are small in size, they cannot eat much. There is formulated food for sugar gliders, and you can feed them with high-quality cat food and moths, too. They are not picky and choosy in food. Therefore, you can enjoy feeding them.
2. Lovely in Appearance
Sugar gliders are cute and lively, with protruding round eyes on either sides on their head. There are membranes between their legs, and they can glide far. If you put a sugar glider in your hand, it will clutch around your thumb or nestle itself in your hand. So cute! It can climb up to your shoulders along your arm. If you can let it climb high enough, it can glide as far as 55 yards. It is really enjoyable to have this creature as a pet.
3. Sociable in Nature
Sugar gliders are sociable and they like to live in a group. If you spend enough time with your sugar gliders, they can know your scent well. Sugar gliders aren't aggressive animals. Even when they puff to frighten their opponents, they seldom bite. Therefore, you can take it to wherever you want, so long as there is no regulations against it in that place.
4. Active at Night
Sugar gliders are nocturnal animals. They sleep during the day and hunt at night. As a pet, they are unnecessary to hunt, and you can spare several hours to play with them. Most likely, you have to work in the day. You can have time to enjoy the fun with them in the evening. Some owners think that it doesn't matter if it is nocturnal, for they can carry it with them during the daytime, too. However, it is better to follow their nature, which is a kind of respect to animals.
5. Great Fun
