Why in the world do I want to go into business for myself? Well it has many rewards, and it has many challenges. But if you get through the challenges you get to the rewards.

For me I want to be in business for myself, because it gives me the opportunity to create a lifestyle for me and my boys. When the business can support it, we can get a car for the business, which we can use for family activates as well. With the car being signposted it is a great way to advertise while you are out and about.

You also get other cool toys like mobile phones and lap top computers. Okay all joking aside, the tools that you buy for your business, to some extent can be used in your personal life, as long as the majority of it is used for the business.

Another reason I want to be in business for myself is, that to a certain degree, I can make the decisions about what happens in my business. What I mean to a certain degree is, that obviously there are national and local by-laws and laws that need to be followed, and depending on where your business is, and they type of industry you are in, as to what other regulations you will need to follow.

Other rewards are obviously the monitory gains that can be had from a business that is run properly. This goes back to lifestyle. Being able to afford that lifestyle, as well as just generally being able to live with out any help from government subsidies. This in it self is something to work towards.

Then there is the rewards of seeing your employees develop into their full potential, help to mould them into someone that you are proud to call an employee. Along these lines is seeing yourself develop and realize your own full potential.

I would much rather work for myself, than for some one else. Because then I only have to answer to myself, and I have to hold myself responsible for the everyday running of the operations. There is no passing the buck.

One of the other rewards is being challenged, by some part of your business and finding the solution, so that you come out the other end a winner, or if there is more than just you involved. You come out of it in a win/win situation.

So why would I want to go into business for myself? Well because it has rewards and challenges and it can provide me and my family with a lifestyle that suits us! I gain so much from running my own business rather than working so hard so that my boss gains so much.
