Enchanting glade.
I wandered through old woodland 'til
I found a glade and paused to rest,
a songbird sang, while sunlight spill,
between bare trees and on my chest.
Gnats hurried by, in shafts of light
while Thrush and Pigeon pick'd at soil
While beads of dew to my delight
were glinting brightly like tin foil.
I stood and stretch'd, and breath'd in deep,
fresh air all cleans'd and purify'd,
then set off out from where I steep
towards a climb my heart had eyed.
While snow retreats, comes forward spring
again my heart has cause to sing.
