Tommy (Jason Daivd Frank), Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson), Billy (David Yost), Adam (John Young Bosch), Aisha (Karen Ashley) and Rocky (Steve Cardenas), have finally morphed on to the big screens!
Joined by their devoted mentor Zordon and assistant Alpha 5, the six young heroes are about to be put to the utlimate test. The movie explodes with the six Rangers, joined by the troublesome Bulk and Skull, taking part in a skydiving charity scheme. Once the Rangers successfully complete their skydive, a massive, suspicous egg is found in a construction site, within Angel Grove. Lord Zedd and Rita Pulsa, joined by Goldar, soon begins investigations of the egg and release the monstrous creature lurking inside, Ivan Ooze. Ivan is soon set the task of destroying the six Rangers, but when Lord Zedd mentions Zordon, Ivan Ooze is infuriated by the name, and seeks vengeance upon him. Ivan Ooze disguizes himself as a wizard, and Fred Kelman, the Rangers' young friend, takes some of Ivan's bottled ooze. After his father conducts inspection upon the weird ooze that is lying in his home, it shows purple eletrical lightning dancing up his arm, and has taken control of his mind, issuing him under Ivan Ooze's command.
After Ivan Ooze creates his own patrol of soldiers, the Rangers teleport out of the Command Centre, in order to deal with the new threat inside the construction. As the Rangers morph into their suits, Ivan Ooze sets out to "visit" the defenceless Command Centre. Ivan makes quick work in dewiring Alpha 5 and then takes no time in almost completely annihilating Zordon, and the Command Centre is very badly damaged. As the Rangers return from another successful triumph, they find their beloved leader on the brink of death. Alpha 5 informs the Rangers about an ancient Power source on the distant planet of Phaedos. Alpha hurriedly informs the Rangers that he may not have enough power to teleport them back to Earth, if the undertake such a dangerous mission; but being as brave and loyal as they are, the powerless Rangers agree to make the journey, with or without their powers to help them.
Upon arriving to the planet Phaedos, the Rangers are soon caught up in a struggle with more of Ivan's henchmen, the Tengu. Being powerless, the Rangers make a surprized discovery a women warrior called Dulcea. At first, she doesn't trust the Rangers, but after Tommy mentions Zordon, it is revealed that Dulcea is a friend to Zordon. After the Rangers have gained the weary warrior's trust, she soon
