Recent FDA reforms:

The Government's agency that oversees food and drugs and cosmetics and all other FDA peripheral products concerns began in 1862 with a lone employee, a chemist. In 2002 the staff was made up of over nine hundred of medical scientists of every description, as well as lawyers and accountants and office workers. Due to the depressed economy it may now be more, the same, or less.
