To say that President Barack Obama is up to the job at hand in the White House is an understatement, and stating the obvious. In fact, I think he is made for this moment in American history. His analytical mind, articulation, and the ability to get his message across to the audience are spectacular as he presents himself to be the best candidate for the job. He is the most prepared to serve the nation when compared to others who started the race to the presidency of United States two years ago.

What Americans need to do at this time, is to give Obama's programs a chance, and allow sense of reasoning to prevail over undue political sentiments that have the potentials of derailing his good intentions for the country. Actually, it is not asking for too much if one calls for a general consensus based on bipartisanship among legislators to bring about smooth passages of his people oriented programs.

As the president, Obama has largely succeeded in putting his programs across with open mind and an appreciable amount of clarity. His articulate mind is legendary and surely put him in a good stead for the job at the presidency. Critics' claim that his administration is moving toward a large government structure is unfounded as his programs are needed now more than ever before to kick-start the economy, and make the government work for the people again.

Without government's intervention, and the private sector participation in the economy, the country will not see better days, and Americans will be worse for it. President Obama probably realized this when he called for the support of private initiatives in handling the economy as this is very important in ensuring that the effects of his programs are felt by the intended beneficiaries. Having put together a team of experienced aides, together with his willingness to accept mistakes and be prepared to correct them, Obama comes along as a pragmatic personality who put the round peg into round-shaped hole.

Foreign relation is another area where Obama has shown sense of understanding of America's position in the world's affairs. His administration's handling of the country's policies in foreign countries, especially the Middle East, leans towards diplomatic solutions to challenges facing United States, as opposed to President Bush's military intervention. At this moment, America
can not afford to have more enemies than friend, and this is the message that needs to be spread to the outside world if America intends to regain its position.

Obama's legacy will be felt by yet to be born Americans, as the president who came to the country's rescue when all hopes were almost lost. Since the economy represents the first and immediate task for President Obama's administration, it is imperative that all Americans put up their thinking caps, and concentrate on the challenges.
Posterity will not forgive the present generation of Americans if the country is allowed to slip further down the valley of economic despair.
