Testimonies: Top ten cars you would like to own

by Russell Zinn

Created on: March 02, 2009

Top ten cars I would like to own? That is a very difficult question to answer, and a list of ten barely does the automobile justice. I could think of ten cars I would like to own from most car manufacturers out there. Many of the cars I would like to own are cars I could never afford such as the Ferrari, Mercedes, Porsche, and Bugatti supercars, along with many more. However, there are some cars I would like to own that are priced slightly more reasonably. So my list will have both as if I had the money I know just what cars I would want to buy and call my own.

1. Ever since I was about ten years old and first saw a picture of a Ferrari I wanted one. The 1997 Ferrari F-50 has always been my dream car. The slick curves, large air-intakes, and unmistakable F-50 spoiler have always been at the top. This car was presented specially for Ferrari's 50th anniversary, and it contains everything Ferrari stands for. The 12-cylinder engine gets this wonderful supercar to over 200 miles an hour. Only 349 F-50's were ever made, even if you have the several hundred grand to buy one, they are almost impossible to find.

2. Another car that has always caught my eye, whenever I saw one driving down the road since I was a little kid was the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. I have always liked corvettes and would love to own one. This one was made again for the 50th anniversary of Chevrolet. But whether it be the 2001 Z06, or the1998 C5, Corvettes have always been a car catching my attention. Corvette has and I am sure will always be a classic car, the smooth curves and distinct shape will always remain classic. This car packs a V-8 engine under its hood and doesn't compromise any agility for maximum performance. The Z06, although not as much as other cars like Ferrari, still costs about 100,000 dollars to purchase.

3. The 1994 McLaren F1 has been around for almost a decade and a half, and is still an extremely rare car. The car would stick out even among other super cars, with its unique scissor doors and flowing look about it. The F1's 12-cylinder engine put out over 600 horsepower. The car can reach an astonishing 240 miles an hour. To help with weight distribution the driver's seat is in the middle and engine sits in the back. This is another one of those unrealistically expensive cars. The down payment for one of these easily reaches a million USD. Not to mention the several thousand dollars a month to maintain.

4. The 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse combines affordability and a sporty
