Poetry: Liars

by Brianne Chohrach

Created on: March 02, 2009

Angry words flow forth

Like lava from a violent volcano

Flashes of heat flood my face

As I realize you just don't get it

Venom spews forth from your mouth like poison

The charred words are like daggers

Aimed at my heart

They pierce through my being in one single shot

The pain is unbearable

And yet you continue

You doubt and question

Evolving your accusations further

Spinning a web of your own destructions

And my despair

Spiraling me downward

Concluding your own perverse ending

Lies become truth in your sight

You evade the true meaning

And adapt to the deception

My words go without notice

The spoken honesty remains veiled

You believe what your wish

No conceding to the right

I'm at a loss

I cannot win

I have not lied
