Poetry: Poets

by Heinz Ross

Created on: March 02, 2009

poet's words forgotten

the poet's words forgotten
as the pages catch the flames
and the painters canvas peeling
colours fading all is stained

the teachers age in disbelief
turn their faces and cry
one time goddess fantasize
til she rejoins with a sigh

so the idols dance like puppets
like the new in vain
to each its time of glory
as to each it's time of pain

and the plastic generation falls
as the new will yet again

trapped in rhythmic cycles
intervals dictating now
back to what i thought
i'd left behind
