If you've tried to lose weight before you are probably too familiar with the numerous roadblocks that can prevent your from losing weight. Your weight loss plans can be railroaded by tempting junk food, emotional issues, boredom, failure to exercise and genetics. But do you know that your metabolism has a lot to do with how much weight you lose?

Yes, that's right. Simply put, your metabolism is a chemical process that involves the conversion of food into fuel and the rate at which your body burns food/calories. Experts believe that eating more protein can boost your metabolic tare and help you lose weight by burning about 150 to 200 calories a day. So try to include more chicken, fish, lean meats and nuts to your weight loss plan.

3. Eat smaller meals frequently

By eating smaller meals frequently you can help to speed up your metabolic rate and lose weight. Try to eat six small meals a day instead of the usual three meals a day. Eating small meals at an interval of three hours will help your metabolic rate to adjust to burning calories every three hours, instead of the long time span between breakfast, lunch and dinner. The longer you take to eat, the more your body stores fat, so snack throughout the day and "trick" your
