This is a tale of a very different kind,
With none of the average happiness you find
In fairy tales about pigeons that glow,
No.
You'll find that this tale is all about woe.
Princess Beatrix was the most beautiful in the land.
But she had a problem that absolutely no one could stand.
Her voice was as loud as a train going past
And sounded an awful lot like an elephant's blast.
So, when she'd been alive for seven years and a day,
Her father, the king, locked her away.
Until you can learn to speak properly and sing
We'll keep you here in the west wing'
Poor Princess Beatrix did not know what to do,
She had never meant to cause such a coo.
For she could not help the voice which she had
That everyone one in the kingdom knew was so bad.
She cried and wept and wailed for days and days,
Until she heard a song birds mournful haze
The song was so sad, that she had to sing back
And her singing was so beautiful she almost had a panic attack.
She jumped for joy for now surely she would be freed,
But that was just not the way it was meant to be.
Guard' she shouted with her terrible groans
I've discovered I can sing with incredible tones'
No' screamed the guard not this again,
You should never speak to any men,
Only convicts and criminals deserve you plight
And even they would put up a fight.'
The king thought it a marvellous idea
That would make any wrong doer shiver with fear.
So each and every criminal in the land,
Were sent to the princess to suffer more than anyone could stand.
So poor Princess Beatrix still locked away
Performed her duty day by day
There was Grimy and Snapper,
Slimy and Knapper.
Each who howled and screamed in pain.
Until, the cruellest criminal in the place
Was caught and thrown in to confront the princess face to face.
He had a big long nose with a hook on the end,
Shiny teeth, and nails so long that they bend.
He was ten foot tall and thin as a rake
And the name that he went by was...Jake.
Now poor Princess Beatrix hadn't realised he was coming that day
And so she was sat at her window, singing away.
Jake laughed to himself where is he terrible voice?
She speaks like an angel, which gives me no choice'.
He crept up behind her and was ready to pounce,
When she turned round and saw him and let out the most incredible shout.
All the walls in the kingdom fell down
Princess Beatrix squealed aloud,
For she had not noticed herself fall to the ground.
Beatrix sat up and looked all around
To see that there was no longer anything to be found.
The kingdom had been destroyed,
there was nobody left.
Now she was sat alone,
in this horrible mess.
But in all honesty, Princess Beatrix didn't mind,
And if you go to her kingdom you can still find
Beatrix and her songbird singing away
The most mournful song, you'll have heard all day.

The Green Hat
Once upon a fairy's tale, in a land far away,
Lived a little child who was startled while he traveled
There was once a beautiful girl
She would dance and she would twirl
She was good, sweet, and kind
A better girl you could not
Once upon quite long ago
There lived a maid called Ugly Flo
This homely girl had daddy's nose
And sported cousin Hector's toes
The King of all fairies
in Rhyme-a-lot Land
Made an announcement
Pen and paper in hand
From his balcony up high
He said
Born of ash and cinder
In a life so free from care
Baby Cinderella wakes up,
Breathes incinerated air.
Stumbling through her
