I see you walking
Upon the street alone;
Sadness reflecting in your eyes
You are returning to an empty home.
Holding inside,
The pain you are hiding from us all,
Yet I can read you like a book, as you
Seemingly maintain your pride, remain standing tall.
The answer as to why
This path you are now on?
Now brings you to such pain,
All hope appears to be gone.
I can not answer you this,
But hope I can offer to you,
By letting you know I will always be here
To help you make it through.
It is the least I can do
For the life that you have given to me,
And above all else in life, dad,
I want you to be happy.
