Women today want to look their best despite their age. The fountain of youth may be running out on most of us, but turning back the clock isn't an option woman want nor wishing for these days. Only 46% of women prefer to look younger, according to a survey by the research team of Olay Total Products.
Over 80% of women surveyed revealed they had many times been mistaken for being a younger age. Women are not hunting for eternal youth, but everlasting beauty through their life time.
Many companies like Olay promote and sell anti-aging products for women. Often times, we think of these products as the only course to redefining beauty, but there are many other procedures one might consider part of the anti-aging process.
In a new age generation of medical technology, women have the options of surgical cosmetic procedures such as face lifts, Botox injections, lipoplasty, and dental corrective surgery. Doctors may even proscribe hormones like estrogen, human growth hormone, and testosterone.
The biggest misconception some woman believe is beauty is only skin deep. Aging doesn't begin with a wrinkle, but starts inside a woman's body and mind. Gray hair, balding, and wrinkles are only signs of what has already began inside a woman's body. Memory loss and osteoporosis are just two examples of how ageing affects a woman's mind and body before any sign outside their body is visible.
Anti-ageing begins with a healthy diet, proper sleep, low stress, and proper care of self. Creams and lotions only work on the outside surface. Regular exercise and a balanced diet allow are optimal for the blood to circulate and the skin to become more elastic against stretch marks and wrinkles.
Many women believe the secret to maintaining a youthful look is being in love, having a happy and fulfilling life, and lots of laughter. Most women claim they look and feel their best in their thirties. No matter what women account their beauty towards, whether it is crmes and lotions, or medical procedures, or maintaining a healthy lifestyle, anti-ageing begins in the foundations of our youth.
Perhaps, this is why today's women are not hunting the fountain of youth. Instead, they are taking better care of their bodies and embracing the beauty of their age.
