The most dangerous sharks,

The shark has been around for 450 million years and during that time has evolved into a fearsome and efficient predator. There are approximately 360 known sharks that swim in the ocean out of these there are four that are on the top of the list for being very dangerous. These are the Great White Shark, the Tiger Shark, the Oceanic White tip and the Bull Shark. Let's take a look at the four most dangerous sharks in the ocean.

The Great White Shark,

Kingdom: Animalia,

Phylum: Chordata

Class: Chondrichthyes,

Species: Carcharias.

This shark grows over twenty feet in length and it is as fierce a predator as it is big. This is the one of the most feared shark that swims in the ocean today. It has a reputation of being the shark that has tallied up more strikes on humans than any other shark. The Great White Sharks favorite meal is seal therefore humans are often mistaken by this shark.

The Great White doesn't eat people but they have killed them. Scientist thinks this is due to their hunting habits. It stalks its prey and sneaks up and bites down hard waiting until its prey is weak then it will return and eat it. When a human is attacked the Great White will return but will not eat the human. Unfortunately the human will usually die from the bite which has 18 tons of pressure per square inch. A good policy to avoid the Great White Shark is to avoid swimming where thier favorite food is which is seals. The Great White lives and breeds in places such as Northern California, Australia and South Africa. You can be sure where there are seals there's a Great White.

The Tiger Shark,

Scientific name: Galeocerdo cuvier,

This shark comes in as number two on the list of the most dangerous sharks. The Tiger Shark is called this due to the stripes it has when it is born. The Tiger Shark can grow up to eighteen feet long and is very dangerous. This shark travels close to shore in shallow waters and have been known to come close to shore to feed on its favorite food which is the Sea Turtle. This shark is not a picky eater and will attack and eat humans when they are really hungry. They are found all over the world but they prefer warm waters. The Tiger Shark is found in the United States along the Atlantic Ocean especially from Carolina to Florida.

Oceanic White Tip,

Latin Name: carcharhinus lonimanus,

Family: Carcharhinidae,

This shark is not quite as big as the Tiger Shark but it certainly do grow big enough, measuring approximately twelve feet in length. This shark
