CENTURY 21 Real Estate LLC (whose parent company is Realogy Corporation) is the largest residential real estate company in the world. Located in over 57 different countries and territories with over 8,300 offices and 140,000 sales associates, CENTURY 21 has used it's concept of "the power of the brand" and "the gold standard" to strategically place itself as the most widely recognized real estate company in the world for those interested in buying or selling residential real estate.
Founded in 1971 by California real estate brokers Art Bartlett and Marsh Fisher CENTURY 21 brought the concept of franchising to the real estate field. CENTURY 21 standardized customer service in a market that had no standards. They brought the concept of training in a consistent and precise manner and created a network of referral systems so that the consumer could easily rely and feel confident that no matter where they were in the globe when they saw the CENTURY 21 logo and a sales agent wearing the infamous gold jacket they knew they were going to get quality, honesty and standardized service.
As CENTURY 21 has grown over the years, it has aligned and affiliated itself with various organizations expanding from one tiny brokerage in Southern California to a global network. CENTURY 21 bases its offices on the concept of each office "individually owned and operated". It does this through a network of what it calls Master Franchisers, in turn those Master Franchisers which are granted a certain region, territory or country in which to sell franchises (or offices) sells franchises to individuals, partnerships or corporations.
One of the most remarkable aspects of CENTURY 21 is literally the power of its brand. Whether you are in Houston, Texas, or Aruba, or England or China or Puerto Rico or upstate New York you will no doubt find a CENTURY 21 office and it will be consistent in appearance and approach to the buying and selling process (within the guidelines of local laws of course). More importantly that local office you walk in to will be able to draw on the vast resources of those other approximately 8,300 offices to assist the buyer or seller in finding exactly what they need and meeting their needs.
Over the years CENTURY 21 has won numerous awards, most recently in March 2007 the CENTURY 21 learning system which it uses to train its 140,000 plus sales associates was named as one of "Training" magazine's "Training Top 125" for the sixth consecutive year. In June 2007 CENTURY 21 earned an Effie Award from the New York American Marketing Association for its 2006 advertising campaign and in October of 2007 its alignment with the BetoCasas.com website garnered a MIXX award for Interactive Marketing Excellence in the Hispanic marketing category.
