It is easy to say that Killzone 2 is one of the most anticipated games of all time. Since the first game, gamers wanted more. This is one of the games that can boost the reputation of the PS3. It's the equivalent of Halo series on the Xbox! Don't get me wrong, Killzone is a great game, and a must have for 2009, but it cannot carry the PS3 to the top alone. Killzone lost its reputation after the first title, Killzone. Critics called it a "soulless" game because of the bad story and game play overall. Now let's forget about the past, and let's look into this extraordinary game!

For the people who don't have a clue what this game is about, its setting is accommodated by a time zone hundredths of years into the Earth's future. As humans have reached new planets and colonies, a group, named "The Helghast", has risen to oppose the humans' ISA (International Strategic Alliance). As Killzone 2 continues the story, it picks up an offensive turn toward The Helghast. They brought the fight right to their front door, their home planet! Their planet, Helghan, has a harsh climate, dangerous winds, electrical storms, and a very toxic atmosphere. This part of the story is where the player is explained the creatures' gas masks and appearance.

The game is set up as a first person shooter. The player is introduced to a character named Sev, and a bunch of his fellow mates. Together they make up team Alpha. The story starts by placing the player and his team mates directly into the action, on a ship heading towards offensive positions!

This time the story seems to have a flowing property. Pre-determined cut-seems flow flawlessly into the game play, and offer an explanation of the extraordinary story. During game play, the story is further explained thought your team's communication and actions.

Overall the story behind this game is very intriguing, and has very straight forward parts as well as interesting and confusing twists. The single player campaign is estimated to be about 15 hours in length, which in my opinion is of a good length!

But the single player perspective is only half of the battle! FPS players, such as myself, prefer to get their game on by playing with other people! Let me tell you this, this is not the something that will disappoint anybody! You can only expect the best from this game in multiplayer. I, personally, don't like to be thrown in the middle of the pump-action battles that go on online, so the game has incorporated a couple of skirmish options with built
