If you are looking for a solution to your problem, then you are already wrong. The good news is you can stop seeking. See, the problem cannot possibly solve the problem. So if the problem centers in the mind, how can the mind find the solution? It's like this; You don't have to get spiritual my friend. YOU ARE SPIRITUAL! God has made all of us well-equipped to serve him. You are not just a body and a mind walking around the earth, unless that is what the mind tells you.
If you take the thoughts that float into the mind as yours, then you are listening to the disease. What I have found through listening is that the Solution is that the problem doesn't exist for me. And I only find Consciousness when I gain interest in the moment I am in! It is relaxing. So when I wait for the bus in the morning and the mind wants to be at work or with that sexy woman that is currently across town, I am not awake. When I allow the disease ANY rights over me whatsoever, I am the problem. So I pay more and more attention to the Power that has solved the self problem.
I stopped allowing it's existence completely. Where are your feet? Is your mind there where your feet are at? Pretty simple questions to get back into the solution. So are you ready to out grow fear? Afraid too? I was. Funny huh? I was afraid of letting go of fear. When i came to this conclusion, I knew I was becoming conscious. Because it challenged every idea the mind had thought to be fact. And the fear came from paying attention to it period! When I don't pay attention to it, it doesn't exist for me.
The Alcoholic is a prime example of Self-will run riot. Self-centerdness is what kills us. Identification of you as a self is the problem. You are not self, you are spirit. So when the thoughts come into the mind, you can let them float away as easy as they came. Can you see thoughts coming? They appear suddenly and, at that instant, the mind loves to take ownership of them. Try this exercise; Write down the words, money, sex, wife or husband. OK, now think about those things or people.
Now write the word "My" in front of them. Notice your anxiety level go upwards! A thought can be just that and have no power whatsoever over you. Unless the mind call it his and now you become the problem. So let it go as easily as it came, like a cloud floating through the sky. Try it! It works it really does. You are now free from bondage of self. Pretty sweet huh? This has taken me years to wake up. I am losing interest in self. The solution is this; The problem doesn't exits for you! Now tell your friends.
