Trading Paint. The sound of the metal of two cars tearing into each other as they speed around the track at unheard of speed. The rise of a cloud of dust being kicked up off of some of the oldest dirt tracks that the old South had to offer. Triumph and tragedy. Men that drove so hard for 500 miles that their passion for racing burned so red hot that it brought them to blows and put NASCAR on its way to being the most watched spectator sport in the United States today.
Yes, the men contained in this list, both past and present, are some of the greatest drivers ever to don a helmet in NASCAR competition. Some are from a different era in the sport and are responsible for being the "Building Blocks" of the NASCAR tradition. Others from the modern era represent the newer breed of drivers who carry on the NASCAR name, and drive it to newer heights each time they take the track. Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is the list of the 10 winningest drivers in NASCAR history.
When your taking a look at the top 10 winningest NASCAR drivers of all time, your not just looking at a generic list of names on a piece of paper. The men on this list would not show up on a camera after a wreck, and proclaim boo hoo he bumped me, or some of the nonsense we see going on with drivers today. No, most of these men raced hard, some even raced dirty, but in the end they always said "Well that's racing. I will get him next week". Ah what memories. So without further adieu, let us take a look at the 10 ten winningest drivers in NASCAR.
One caveat I should mention here. I am coming at this from the perspective of the top ten of all time, not from say an old school or "modern era" perspective. Sure, in the older days there were more races to run, but I also think that with the advancements in the sport today, along with the effects of big money teams, I think it is a bit easier to win these days, because not everyone
