This is it. The big day. Becca is standing in the back room, white dress flowing beautifully around her, the bridesmaids all in a row. Her mother is bustling about trying to get everyone's attention.
Becca is facing a full length mirror, studying herself. Is she ready for this? Is this what she still wants? She is set to marry the father of her son, Cale, but at the same time, she is unsure if she really wants to do this. There is one other man that has been in her life from the time she discovered she was pregnant with her now one year old son. Someone who took her in and was everything to her and supported her and her child.
This other man is her best friend, Landon. When her then boyfriend/now soon to be husband Derek ditched her after hearing about the pregnancy, she had no where to go and it was Landon who took her to his side and did everything humanly possible for her. In a way, she wished it had been her best friend that fathered Cale.
Now standing before herself, Becca wonders what could have been or should still be. Landon is not coming to the wedding, but she cannot blame him. He is heart broken and does not wish to see someone he loves so much choose someone who never loved her.

From that moment on, she only wanted to be with Derek and would hope and pray that he would come back to her and be the man she has always dreamed of. Now he's here, but the dream has faded.
Becca pictures Landon in her mind. He's tall, dark hair, goofy kind of guy but very mature and lovable. She thinks about how they used to hang out and be together every day, even in school. Things are going to change once she walks down the aisle. A single tear streams down her left cheek as she recalls the day she found out she was pregnant.
"Derek, we need to talk about this! What are we going to do?" Becca pleas to Derek, her boyfriend of six months. Derek is pacing back in forth by his car, he is in total panic.
"I can't do this right now, Becca. I just can't. I'm in college, I have too much riding on me right now and a kid is not going to help one bit."
"So what are you saying? I'm not getting an abortion and adoption is not really sometime I want to do, either."
Derek stops pacing and looks Becca in the eyes. "Then I guess this is your problem now. You don't want to do any options that I have so
