There was a bit of blood and her heart began to race. Worried she ran out to get her mother in-law. As the tears were falling down her mother in-law's face talking to her sister about her hair which was barely there. Fighting cancer and awful disease but now was my time of need. Once the girl caught her attention we ran out the door. Into the car headed for the hospital praying it would be okay. Her precious baby girl wasn't due for six weeks.
They arrived at the door and were taken to maternity. Hooking the girl up to machines, they found a heart beat. The contractions started increasing. The mommy to be was admitted to the hospital. The doctors came in and tried to stop the birth. Only three shots is the limit or the baby will come. The mommy to be received the first shot and the contractions stopped, but only for a few hours. Then once again the pain started and shot number two was given to try to hold off the birth. The mommy to be slept through the night the next morning bright and early she stood and there was water all over the floor. It was time there was no more stopping her baby girl.
The doctor came in and said we still had time. Since the baby was too early we need to transfer you both. The ambulance and helicopter were called. She was picked up by the ambulance and taken to the Fire Department where they met the helicopter to take her to Johns Hopkins. They landed on the roof and entered through the door. They rolled her on the bed into her room and transferred her. Soon doctors and nurses were checking to make sure everything was alright. Sitting and waiting for the daddy, and grandparents, she was worried out of her mind. She was afraid they might not make it and that he baby might not be alright. Finally they arrived one after the other, even her best friend came make sure everything was alright.
Doctors kept coming in and checking to see how far along she was. It was only mid-afternoon when the doctor said we have plenty of time, she won't be here until way after midnight. So she told the daddy to go ahead and go down the street to get something to eat. About ten minutes later while she was visiting with her best friend a bunch of nurses and the doctor came rushing in. She was in so much pain she could barely stand it. She told her best friend to go get the daddy it was time for the baby to come on out. Her best friend ran out and called the daddy, who came running back from about four blocks.
The doctor said push and the mommy sad no I can't.
