What distinguishes a leader from a follower is the initiative. And if you want good staff you must know how to turn them to the best people possible.
You see, a leader is always eager to do more. To do new things, to try new experiments in the business, in his life and above all to the costumer.
A follower on the other hand is only doing what he is told to do, plain and simple. To do more things, the follower asks for more money or quits the company or just keeps doing the same thing all the time.
You see, a leader is always eager to work more, he loves the work and he does anything to improve his work because he wants to, he does it nor for the money nor to be recognized but only because he wants to do it so.
A follower does nothing of the sort.
So how can you make a follower get some initiative to the company?
1 - Money. This is what works the best for most people. You see, a man and now more and more women think, the same, they only judge themselves by the amount of money they make, as well as a business too. The more money a person or a company makes, the higher the revenues and the profits the better and the more worth it is to work for it. So if you want some quick and easy initiative this is what you can do. This should work for about 80% of all people in the company. There are other however that in spite of caring for the money, they also care for a lot more things such as status, rankings and more. So money alone will not work for them. The money will only have the half of the effect that it will have for all the other employees.
2- Status is the next thing you should use to boost your people initiative performance. When you do not want to spend a lot of money or money alone will not work for it, you should boost the status of that person in the company. Most people are more than eager to get some recognition so if you write his name in the hall of the fame of the company, that person will see the company as a thing of himself so he will work many times more and harder for it than he would with his name nowhere. As you can imagine this list should be public and even on the internet as well on the website of the company.
3- Rankings, everyone likes promotions and titles and this is the third best way to get more from your people. Promote one person to a better job, like the chief of the production and you should get him or her working up to 100 times harder and better. This is because everyone likes titles and your people are no exception.
