Dearest Samantha,
Hey there sis! I just wanted to start out by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you have/had more of had a GREAT one! We were going to stopover you on your birthday but couldn't because it was the time for us to collect our crops and sell them to the consumers.
But how is everyone doing over there? My goodness, it's been practically how long since I've last written to you. How is your husband and children doing? I miss them. Grace, Samantha, Summer, Tommy and little Solomon say hi to your children. They miss them so much that they question me everyday if I have gotten a letter from you or the children. Ha-ha. I do have to say they are seriously frustrating me more and more about getting any letters from anyone in the family. Ha-ha. But you know how children are; yes indeed you do. Ha-ha. The children though do enjoy helping me around the house and barn, they're just so cooperative. I just love them so much! I love how they don't protest against do anything I tell them to do, they make life so easy. They're so obedient to me and Justin, and I'm thankful for that. Thanks to you for helping me out take care of them and teaching them what to do and what not to do. And the good thing about this year is the fact that the weather has been great to us, we have been getting good sunny days and good rainy days. There weren't that many days where it was scorching hot or incredibly wintery cold days, so that was good. The harvest this year has been beyond belief; we've had crops growing beautifully and have sold an unbelievable amount of crops to the people. We made an excellent amount of money this year that'll help feed and pay for the house and barn for the next few months. We've also been saving up to come visit you all in Pennsylvania which is going to be in a couple of months. I'm so excited and thrilled about coming to visit you and mom and dad very soon.
To tell you the truth sis, I miss you so much. The girls and I have pleasurable talks but I miss our sisterly, heart to heart talks with you. You always knew what to say to get me to spill out what I had on my mind. I miss our days where mom, you, me and our daughters would go out into the field bright and early in the gorgeous morning light; pulling together the crops and chitchat away about the dreams we had last night or what happened to us the day before. Man sis, those were the days. Living down here in Wisconsin is quite dreary, there's no one out for miles. The sunsets and
