Filming a hula show for reality television
Four large TV cameras were set up near the stage of the Tahitian Palace Showcase nightclub in Waikiki. The stage was decorated with tropical flowers, palm trees, and a tropical beach scene. Lani Keilana, a dancer with the Ori-Tahiti, was ready backstage to make her debut at the club. Dressed in a very short red loincloth around her hips with a slight slit and each side, a coconut bra, and a flower lei around her head, she struck up a conversation with Frank Germani, the Brooklyn-born owner of the club, and Jeffrey Jones, a savvy African-American New York City-born-and-raised Hollywood talent agent.
"Hey Leilani, you are one sexy-lookin hula babe! And that outfit! Whoa! More comfortable than that itchy-bitchy grass skirt, hah?" Frank exclaimed excitedly. "This is how I want my dancers to look! This is your big night there, baby, so get out there and wow them! You've already passed the audition. And boy have I gotta big surprise for you!"
"What is it, Frank?" Leilani asked with an excited look on her face. "What is the big surprise?"
"Thousands of TV bigwigs are in town for a convention here this week. I closed the club to the general public tonight just so I could invite the tops of the networks: CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, The Travel Channel, local TV station managers, program directors; you name it; they're all here. I want them to see a star in the making! Remember those cameras out there will be filming you, so give em what you got there. I'll let the general public see you in the fall."
Jeffrey also retorted, "Remember, Leilani, you're be the next big star of reality TV. Keep your eyes on those cameras out there! There's a multi-million dollar contract for you, so really shake it up for them! I told the camera crew to get some really good close-up shots on those sexy moves there. "
"I will." replied Leilani, flashing her sexy bright smile. Once my contract with the Ori Tahiti is up, I won't have any money coming in, so I really appreciate getting this gig."
"Well, I've gotta get out on stage and introduce you. Good luck to you, and remember to really shake that ass up!" Frank said excitedly as he dashed out on to the stage.
Grabbing the microphone, Frank, dressed in a white floral Hawaiian shirt, with matching pants, and his dark and handsome looks, got the audience full of TV executives warmed up. "Aloha, Wahines and Kanes!" Frank shouted out. "A-lo-ha!" the audience roared back.
Frank continued, "I hope you're all having
