Broken Wings
I feel like a bird whose lost its wings.
I can't fly any more.
I look out the window,
Into the blistering light,
All I want to do is spread my wings wide open,
And take flight.
I can't fly any more.
Right now my wings,
They are broken.
To soar high in the whispering sky,
In the blackness of the night,
Would be an enchanting tune cause there in your arms I would be,
Resting peacefully.
But,
I can't fly any more,
My wings they are broken,
They don't spread so easily.
God please help me get back to where I'm supposed to be,
In my lover's arms!
Please mend these broken wings,
So I can fly back to his loving arms.
Because,
I can't fly anymore,
My wings,
They are broken.
