The Forbidden Kiss

Without any warning , Roger innoncently leaned over and kissed her on her lips and she couldn't believe what was happening. Roger, her sisters husband of 10 years had kissed her, while her sister had taken their daughter Rose to the bathroom during intermission of the play. Katherine could not believe what had just happened. She wanted to smack him across his face but apart of her enjoyed the warmth from his lips and the look he had in his hazel green eyes told her that there was more on the inside of him that he wanted to secretly explore. Ashame from the feelings she was feeling , she hurrieldy excused herself and went to the lobby to compose herself. All she could think about is what was Roger thinking, she was lost in her thoughts. Roger had never even said anything out of the way to her , more or less shown any affectionate gestures towards her. She thought , she must be dreaming so she agressively pinched herself, and ouch it was real. Roger had indeed kissed her. She knew right then that she was not dreaming, it was real. Roger her brother-in-law had kissed her .

She dediced that they needed space between them so, she got up from her seat and walked towards the lobby area. Her hands were wet and her thought was dry. She glared at herself in a mirror that was on the wall , and she looked as thoguh she had just seen a ghost. She was pale and her pupils appeared to be dilated. Briskly walking she ran right into Katherine and Rose , they were coming out to the bathroom. She didn't want to appear to be nervous so , she placed her hands in her coat pocket and began to hum the tune Old McDonald Had a Farm to herself ,quietly. She was mortified , why would Roger do such a thing. She felt sick to her stomach, and thought she should have a seat. As Katherine approached her she could tell that she wasn't feeling well because it was written all over her face. She thought , if Katherine really knew what was bothering her she would kill over and die. Katherine whole life revolved itself around Roger.

Katherine asked with a worried look on her face , Shelby are you o.k. , She didnt want to diclose her new found secret, so she said very distant " oh, Iam fine , just got a little warm in the theater so I decided to come out and catch some fresh air. Katherine , replied, o.k. , Me and Rose will sit here with you for a few minutes until you feel better. Rose moved closer to me and began to rub me on my arm. She was such a affectionate little girl.
