Poetry: A woman's world

by Cindy Bredwell

Created on: February 26, 2009

The door opens, a man comes in

Now is the time for the pain, man, pain to begin

Lights are blaring, people are yelling

"Don't give up yet, Your almost ready!"

All she can think is, "What did I do?

He didn't love me, I was such a fool

The pain increases, seconds feel like hours

Blood is pouring and tears are falling

The pain finally stops

The man turns away

In here arms a baby lays

To her surprise her heart seems to burst

For the man doesn't matter

The baby comes first.
