of the wedding vows shouldn't be taken with the grain of salt that so many people tend to do. Cheating on your spouse one of the best ways to destroy another human being. If you can truly look at the person you are about to marry and know that you never want to be with anyone else, you are set to go.

Till death do us part:

All of the above promises are sealed. You promise to do all of these things until the end of your life or theirs, whichever comes first. That is a long time commitment. Be prepared for it.

Marriage is worth it. The above is a pretty dismal look at it, but in order to know if your union is worth it you have to look at it through all aspects. You can't just look at it through the rose colored glasses of the fairy tale wedding.

Marriage allows you to share yourself with another human being wholly. You mind, body and soul go into it. You become best friends. You raise your family. If people would take their vows a little more seriously rather than saying "If it doesn't work out we can always get a divorce", then marriage becomes more worth it. The meatiest parts of a marriage are in later life. The children have grown, your marriage has hit every possible rock and you are still going strong. In fact, you will be going stronger than ever before because you were patient enough to learn to understand each other.
