Every girl wants to be treated like a princess and certainly every girl deserves to be treated like one. Deep down most women just want to find their prince charming. Someone who will sweep them off their feet and lavish them with the love and attention they so desperately crave. And for some girls they get the fairytale. Yet for others it doesn't happen. Instead they settle for Mr Less Than Perfect rather than Mr Perfect. Perhaps they feel that finding their prince is just beyond their reach... someone they'll never truly find. Maybe society as a whole is to blame.. projecting an image that if you don't look like a supermodel you'll not be fully accepted. If your looks are "not up to par" then your just expected to settle for whatever comes your way. And as crazy as that assumption sounds , for years I believed it. I believed if I looked a certain way and I dressed a certain way I'd find true love. I spent most of my teenage years on numerous diets and following exercise routines in the vain hope that if I looked perfect, like the girls many men and women obsess over in magazines then I'd somehow be worthy of true love. Then I met someone who made me realise that sometimes you can get the fairytale without being the supermodel.
Last summer a guy on my MSN struck up a conversation with me. And what started as a random conversation grew to the most intense loving relationship I've ever known. We started chatting, which in time grew to texting and hour long conversations. For a while we cooled off a little due to us both being insanely busy, him with work myself with university however in this time I realised how much I was missing him. I missed how he made me feel. When Mark spoke to me, he really spoke to me. He text me sweet little messages just to make me smile. I kept thinking to myself - " this guys too good to be true" however now 8 months on I know not only he true, he's truly made me feel like the princess I always wanted to be.
We spent two days together in person before deciding to become a couple. From then I've continued to float on cloud 9. I've always been conscious about how I looked, often feeling apprehensive about my body to the opposite sex. With Mark those nerves and fears have faded. He makes me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. And of course I'm enough of a realist to know that I'm not the most beautiful girl in the world - but I appear that way to him. He sees me for me and he loves me regardless of my flaws and little quirks.
