I've been pivoting away from a few bad-feeling thoughts recently. I could probably use a good pair of basketball shoes and a big swig of Gatorade for my efforts.
Some days, if it weren't for the Abraham-Hicks philosophy, I might have no recourse but to flush myself into the septic tank of worry. I'm so thankful to know that I can always improve my thoughts about any given subject and thus exercise control over the circumstances that come my way. If Abraham were here this moment, I'd kiss the ground they walk on. But since they don't really walk on ground, except through us, I guess I'm off the hook for now.
Financial and personal safety are areas I've thought about recently. How does a person move beyond being vulnerable to what's "out there," I ask myself.
By turning away from THOUGHTS of vulnerability, I remind myself with a when-are-you-going-to-"get"-th is tone. It's all about vibration. And vibration is comprised of thoughts - just one thought after another thought after another thought. No matter where we've placed our attention in the past and no matter what sort of unwanted crap-ola we may have attracted, with each moment, we have a wondrous chance to choose differently. And in that moment, the Universe has a wondrous chance to begin to reward us for our efforts, thanks to Law of Attraction.
When we go one measly step - even a half-step - up the vibrational scale by choosing a thought that feels slightly better than what we've been thinking, we change our entire point of attraction. We are vibrationally no longer the same, and the events and interactions that are headed our way have just improved.
I find that utterly remarkable. How 'bout you? I find that to be something I want to shout about until the rafters ring.
Here are a few of my personal releases-of-resistance this week:
I changed "Uh-oh, daughter Emily is riding her bike to college classes in busy, crazy-college-kid traffic" to "Emily is alert and aware and will, like most student bicyclists, be just fine. Besides, now maybe she'll give me my car back."
I changed "I'm frustrated that we can't seem to find the cause of water perpetually standing in our yard despite the drought," to envisioning myself happily walking on solid, dry land again without even needing Charlton Heston to part the waters.
I changed "The economy doesn't seem to be showing signs of improvement" to "It doesn't matter what the economy is or isn't doing. It doesn't need to affect Mark and me, for we can continue to thrive by keeping our focus on what we want, not on what is going haywire. Hmmm...maybe I should stimulate said economy with a shopping trip or two."
I changed, "Old age is creeping up on me at breakneck speed" to "Thank the Fairies of the Universe for StriVectin!"
When my pivots cause me to chuckle, I KNOW that I've improved my vibration. Feeling better is its own reward but is also an indication of opening the valves to a greater flow of well-being.
Well-being abounds. It's our natural state. An unfolding of desires and unprecedented thriving are here for us right now - just a few good-feeling thoughts away.
